Climate Change - Does Man Cause it?

Climate Change - Does Man Cause it?

There seems to be a lot of questions about climate change, and it made me think about what the bible says about how the weather is used. From the beginning when God flooded the earth for wickedness.

Genesis 6:5
“And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.”
Genesis 6:7
“And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.”
Genesis 7:4
“For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living substance that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the earth.”
Question: Will the Climate Change, and will it be because of man? (Note: This assessment is based on my personal evaluation and thoughts.)
Question #1 – Will the climate change?
The Word Of God says Yes!
Mark 13:8
“For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows.”
Mark 13:24
“But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,”
Revelation 16:8 - 16:9
Revelation 16:8
“And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire.”
Revelation 16:9
“And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory.”
Revelation 16:21
“And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.”

Why? Because they did not repent.

  1. feel or express sincere regret or remorse about one's wrongdoing or sin.
"the priest urged his listeners to repent" ·
feel remorse for · regret · be sorry for · rue · reproach oneself for · be ashamed of · feel contrite about · wish that one had not done something · be penitent ·
  • view or think of (an action or omission) with deep regret or remorse.
"Marian came to repent her hasty judgment"
  • archaic
(repent oneself)
feel regret or penitence about.
"I repent me of all I did"
Revelation 9:21
“Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.”
So, in conclusion as I think about it, yes, the climate will change, and it will change because of man. God will change the weather to try and get man to change his behavior. The scriptures mentioned above are not all that speak to the entirety of this story. I highly recommend you read the entire bible cover-to-cover to understand how and why God does the things he does. It is a wonderful thing to do and you will not regret it!
God Bless!
