"I Will Make You The Head, and Not the Tail" - Rio 2016 Olympic's

12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord;
and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.

Psalm 33:12

It was amazing watching the 2016 Olympics in Rio and to see all of the American winners. I noticed one thing about some of our competitors after they won, they prayed and thank God! I do not remember other nation’s teams huddling up and saying a prayer to God after they won. The picture I captured from my TV was the American women’s relay. I cannot remember every team that I saw pray, but I remember seeing several American teams, and I think that is great! We are a Christian Nation. A nation that has made the decision to be in Christ and to have Christ in it. Seeing us win so many metals makes me think also of Deuteronomy chapter 28. The whole chapter is great, but specifically the scripture that says, “I will make you the head and not the tail.”

The Lord shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow. 13 And the Lord shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the Lord thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them: 14 and thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.

I know not every person in America has made the choice to serve the Lord, but it is good for me to see so many people publically thank God and pray when he blesses them with success! May God continue to bless this nation, our nation called America!

Deuteronomy 28:12-14
