Leadership – Following the Leadership and Will of God, or Rebelling and following Rebels!

Leadership – Following the Leadership and Will of God, or Rebelling and following Rebels!

The Word of God tells us about leadership and who do you follow and listen to here on this earth. Do you listen to God and follow his instructions, commands and warnings, or do you follow the rebels. It also seems like local, and national leadership is about do they follow the will and the word of God, or do they rebel?

God’s Word provides us the leadership and we have a choice. Do you follow it, or do you rebel? It is written that there was a war in heaven between the angles of God and the Devil and his angels. They rebelled and were expelled.

In the Lord ’s Prayer it is written

10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven (Matt 6:10)

It is my observation that the Lord’s Will is expressed in many of the rules and laws of men on earth (Example: Thou shalt not kill).  The question is, do you do the Will of God, or do you rebel? Does your family do the Will of God, or does your family rebel? Does your City or State do the Will of God, or does your city/state rebel? Does your nation do the will of God, or do we rebel?

Jesus Divides up the nations – His followers on the Right and the non-followers on the left.

It is written in Matthew 25:31-46

31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: 32 and before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: 33 and he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

I find it interesting that in this passage, Jesus does a review of the behavior of the nations and divides them!

Those that enter Heaven are the ones who do the Will of Jesus’s Father in Heaven

It is written in Matthew 7:21-23

21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

This one I find interesting because it seems like there were people who did things in Jesus’s name, but did not do the Will of His Father and was refused entry into heaven. One of the things I remember about what Jesus did here on earth was, he did the commands and will of his father.

It is written:

John 17

17 These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee: as thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.

In Conclusion

The Word of God provides us leadership. Local and national politics is about Godly or Ungodly leadership. I like having the ability to follow God and the leadership of His Son Jesus Christ! It is a blessing to even have that wonderful option! I also like the option of following earthly leaders that follow Godly leadership.

To the rebels, we invite you to follow the leadership of the Lord, and our prayers are for you to join the team! It is the best decision you can make in this life!
