One of the wonderful things about our nation is the fact that the seed of our society was the Word of God! Jesus says you know a tree by its fruit. For many people in our nation, the Word of God drives voting, behavior, policy, and how our laws are written.
We are in a very important election season, and I wanted to share some scriptures from God’s Word for you to meditate on as you approach voting. Some Christians don’t vote. This is not good! This is the nation the Lord has given us at this time, and we who know His Word, need to cast our votes for the party that cares most about God, His Son Jesus Christ, and all of the things of the Kingdome of God!
- A nation who cares about God vs. Atheism
- Righteousness vs. Unrighteousness
- Godly vs. Ungodly
- Lawful vs. Lawless
- Good vs. Evil
- God vs. The enemies of God
There is a big difference between having a leader, and a group of leaders, that care about, respect and fear God, and leaders that have distain and disrespect for him!
“Moreover thou shalt provide out of all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness; and place such over them, to be rulers of thousands, and rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens:”
“Take you wise men, and understanding, and known among your tribes, and I will make them rulers over you.”
“See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil;”
“I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:”
“When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.”
“A wise man's heart is at his right hand; but a fool's heart at his left.”
“And Jesus answering said unto them, Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's. And they marvelled at him.”
“Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.”
“Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.”
